The Story Of Al Falah Centre

The Journey Established in 2001 By Moulana Farid Ahmed Khan and Moulana Abdul Wahid who settled in Newport and Cardiff. Needed a place where Muslim children can attend and learn Qur’an and basic Islamic knowledge. Which can help them to understand Islamic value of five-time daily prayer, true respect to parents, relative and friends. Also provide them with basic tools of Islamic manner and character, which are needed every day to practice in life. In this intention bought a property in 112 Ninian Park Road, Riverside, Cardiff.

Since establishing this center children started attending evening classes (Madrasah) across the city of Cardiff from all backgrounds, especially Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Somali, and Arab inherited.

Over the next eight-year demand has been increased significantly and these premises become small, by the beginning of 2009 the Community identified the current building as a potential place in the ELY area. The premises become a Mosque and Community center to serve whole the Muslim Community in Ely where hundreds of families and their children were lived.

Brief journey of AL FALAH CENTR

Al Falah Centre is only the Masjid in Ely area serving all Muslim community in Ely and sounding. A large number of Muslim communities with different background of Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Somali, Afghani, Arabs and reverted Muslims are regularly attended for Friday and daily five times prayer services. Over the last couple of years, it has developed to become a true lively and spirited Masjid, seeking to encapsulate the

very ideals on which it now thrives as opposed to being simply a place of worship. Located in the heart of Ely and Caerau area with a very diverse and multicultural community; contributing to the very warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere that the mosque is so well known for by those who visit and access its many services.

We believe in the multi-faceted role it has been playing in establishing the success, tranquillity and enlightenment of the Muslim community; as well as welcoming the wider community to explore the message of true Islam and learn its core values. Here at Al Falah centre we envision to build a community, whereby the role of the Mosque serves as both nourishment and as a solution to the myriad of needs and challenges facing the community at large, as well as serving as a source of betterment of our society; and as a platform for social cohesion, integration and interaction.
